Dog Taoist Gallery
Remember how excited you would be if your parents handed you a $1 with every A on your school report? They made you want to do it all over again, didn’t they? That’s a form of reinforcement.
Dogs are unconcerned about wealth. They are concerned with praise in addition to food or toys. Positive reinforcement training rewards desired actions with a reward (treats, praise, toys, or anything else the dog finds enjoyable). However, positive praise and affection alone do not train dogs. Current trends come and go, but we’ve been training dogs and educating their humans for over 40 years.
I trained my first dog at 5 years old (check photos!) and haven’t stopped learning and practicing. Growing up with dog trainers in the family, I’ve also learned how each dog requires a slightly different approach. We pull from years of experience and Mother Nature to help each dog. We utilize components of the 4 quadrants of classical conditioning to help dogs learn what not to do. We bred many litters and watched how dames and sires treat their puppies to teach them life lessons. We do the same. A dog without discipline is one that lives in chaos. We can take that burden away from your dog.
